Our journey began with a pre-surf ritual of brewing a jar of maté to fuel our adventures. Realizing the many benefits of this energizing and refreshing drink, we wanted to share it with South Africa. At Wildwood, we carefully source our maté from Brazil to ensure we’re offering the best quality. We’re proud to use organic, rainforest safe, fair trade, and sustainable maté. We believe that it’s important to offer a healthier option for those looking for a natural energy boost.

To achieve this, we’ve taken concrete steps to minimize our environmental footprint. We use sustainable and rainforest-safe yerba maté in our products, and we’re always looking for new ways to reduce waste and invest in renewable energy.
We believe that cans are a better choice for the environment than bottles. While both are recyclable, cans have a higher recycling rate and are more easily recycled than glass bottles. Additionally, cans are lighter and more compact, which means they require less fuel to transport, reducing their carbon footprint.
But we also recognize that it’s not enough to just reduce our own impact – we need to actively work to offset it. That’s why we partner with initiatives like LitterBoom, which intercepts plastic waste in rivers before it reaches our oceans and recycles it.
We’re also excited to announce that customers now have the ability to offset the carbon emissions of their order.
